Mission Himalaya is a not-for-profit organization registered with Government of Nepal’s Company Act; Company Registrar’s Office Registration Number: 134/064/065. It has been actively in operation since 2008 by a group of socially committed professionals including; business entrepreneurs, teachers, health workers, tourism professionals and social workers. We have been actively working for the welfare of orphaned, destitute and underprivileged children since our establishment. Currently, we are among few leading organizations working for the welfare of children recognized by Central Child Welfare Board of Nepal.

We are not only dedicated to help orphaned and homeless children of Nepal, but we have also been actively working in the education and healthcare sectors over the past 9 years by constructing class rooms (Temporary Learning Centers), Computer labs, rebuilding of Earthquake damaged or destroyed schools, organizing medical treks, outreach programs, organizing health camps including eye screening and surgeries, conducting female healthcare volunteers training programs and constructing eye clinics and community hospitals. We are also involved with organizing awareness programs in health, sanitation, first aid and human trafficking.

We were among the first relief providing organizations to “immediately jump” into action for rescue and relief missions including relief aid distribution right after the massive earthquakes of April 25th, 2015 and May 12th, 2015 and the following aftershocks lasting almost a year! We provided relief aids to 9 heavily hit districts in Gorkha, Sindhupalchwok, Kavrepalanchwok, Makawanpur, Dolakha, Lalitpur, Dhading and Nuwakot., We also reconstructed classrooms and buildings of different earthquake effected schools as; Nawakalika Primary School, Shree Bhawani Ni MA. VI. and Manakamana Deaf School. Upon request from the District Administration Office in Gorkha we also constructed 50 TLCs (Temporary Learning Centers) in three Village Development Committees of Gorkha District- Namjung, Darbung and Fujel which we successfully completed on time.
