WHAT IS MISSION HIMALAYA ?

Mission Himalaya was foundedin July 2008 by a group of socially committed professionals like teachers, tourism entrepreneurs and social workers. It is registered with the Office of the Company Registrar, Government of Nepal as Company not Distributing Profit to help rural and back tracked community of Nepal. Not only have we committed to reaching out to those in need of proper Healthcare and Education, but also dedicated to help orphaned and homeless children of Nepal.Even though we are few in number, but we are deeply committed to help serve the Nepalese people.

Our primary projects include:

Eco farm home for orphaned and desolate children

A Self Sustaining Eco friendly Home for Orphans based in Kavre, Panauti providing where we provide a proper care and nurturing to children who have been abandoned or been orphaned. We have been providing primary health care, education and nutrition.

Eye and Medical missions and outreach programs

Rural Health camps and Free Eye Surgical camps : The Concept is to reach out to communities in rural Nepal , where they have very little access to Healthcare. We bring in specialized teams of foreign doctors and Medical Volunteers, who work along with Local doctors to provide free Medical Check ups, Medicine, Eye Surgeries and Counselling.

Earthquake Relief projects

Earthquake Relief Aid : Our many Earthquake relief aids, have reached around 13 districts affected by the April 2015 Earthquake, we have also been working in collaboration with the United Nations and The Government of Nepal, to help rebuild communities , schools and clinics, that were destroyed in the Earthquake.

Our Objectives:

1. To help build self-sustaining Eco friendly children’s home, for orphaned and abandoned children.
2. To build proper healthcare centers, schools and even homes for the rural communities all over Nepal.
3. Provide basic medical treatment to local communities in rural areas, with no proper access to healthcare centers.
4.To perform Eye cataract surgeries – Free of Cost, including a pre-operation check up, as well as post-operating follow up.
5. To build a strong relation with the local communities, to help expand our future community based services and charities.
